I have been teaching yoga since 2012. My first regular yoga practice started in 2006, I was working in a Health Spa performing a lot of massage and was also Mum to a 1 year old. Life was busy and yoga gave me a complete sense of release for both my body and mind. If I ever missed a week, my back ached and my mind felt unsettled.
After having my second baby, finding time for myself was a rarity but I kept up my regular class, it was my 1 hour a week just for me.
When the children started school, I started to grow my yoga practice. I loved the way yoga made me feel I became more aware of self care, of not only nurturing and caring for my children but also the importance of nurturing myself. I felt like I had discovered a secret, One that I wanted to share with others.
I started my teacher training in Iznate Spain with my wonderful Guru Manorama. I completed my 200hr Classical Hatha Yoga course with Yoga Alliance. That same year I went to India and completed a further 100hr course delving deeper into yoga philosophy and yoga as a therapy.
As my adult classes expanded, I started to think about not only sharing yoga tools with adults but being able to also share yoga with children. Knowing that our younger generation can experience just as much stress and worries as us adults.
I was lucky to study with Susannah Hoffman at TriYoga completing my Children´s Yoga training in 2014. My classes grew and I went on to study Post Natal Yoga with the wonderful Nadia Narin, Author of 2 self care books and one of the original teachers at Triyoga London.
I studied once again with Manorama in Spain in 2018 completing an advanced yoga therapy 100hr Yoga Alliance course.
In February 2020 I completed a Yin Yoga Course in London, after a keen interest in yoga and the Yin element of slowing down in a very Yang based world.
Yoga is a continuous journey and one that has taught me a deep awareness of my Body, Mind and Breath.
Teaching yoga gives me a profound sense of purpose and fulfilment. Yoga really is for everyone, giving a deep sense of happiness and joy.
